Off The Easel

This is the most recent Cold Wax and Oil painting to have dried. Sooo very colorful and joyful!
"Brilliant", 20"x24"x1 1/2", cold wax and oil on gallery wrap canvas.

I Fear.
This painting is a reflection of the inner turmoil often felt inside us at various times in our lives.
"I Fear", 24"x18" acrylic on canvas

Really have been enjoying painting on wood these days. This one is knife work, the background and the flowers.
"Dancing Daisy's",12"x24", acrylic on wood frame.

Do You just love the sea and an open painterly hand? This painting fits just that. Also done with a knife and fluid acrylics. Some finger work as well.
"Port in the Storm",20"x24"x1 1/2", acrylic on gallery wrap canvas.

When this painting first began to appear I was enthralled by it's whimsy. I let the imagery appear and tell me what the painting was going to be. No plan in hand at all! This is what the canvas called out to be, a sort of motherly figure, who may be holy, holding the world in her hands. The children seem to be a bit surprised at what they find!
"What in the World", 20"x16", acrylic on canvas.

No this would be Lucinda Williams, country/rock-a-billy singer. She has THE best gravely bluesy voice. Just love her!
"Lucinda Williams", 20"x16", acrylic on canvas.

This is a larger canvas, full of depth, made by the numerous markings. The crowned woman is singing in the dreams, ushering them into being.
"Singing in the Dreams", 48"x24"x1 1/2", acrylic on gallery wrap canvas.
