Been Real Busy In The Studio Of Late.

Let me introduce Mr. Bob Marley. My first attempt at him was a failure  :( Then I thought I just have to try again only this time I had hubby download his music for me so I could channel his spirit so to speak. I hope you like him.  !8"x24" acrylic on canvas
This painting came about over my broken heartedness of the folks living in the recent tornado zones , mostly those in Oklahoma as I do have family there. Texture and depth on this piece has to be seen in person to be fully enjoyed. 18"x24"x1 1/2" gallery wrap acrylic on canvas.

I really find that Mahalia Jackson is my favorite gospel singer of all time. This is a contemporary  look to her in her more youthful days. 16"x20" acrylic on canvas
Went to a concert recently and the band was doing Beatles songs. During "Hey Jude", the audience that was seated in front and all around me, joined in singing and stood up and wrapped their arms around each other and began to sway to the tune. it very moving. I came home and started painting this right away. 12"x24"x1/12" gallery wrap acrylic on canvas.
I LOVE the texture of this painting. It"s painted like a paint peeling old Brittish phone booth. No toxins or hazards here though, only the illusion of peeling paint..18"24"x1 1/2" acrylic on canva

In 2001 I was visited by an image that looked very much like this. He didn't move or speak , just stayed for awhile by a table in the carport. It"s the kind of event one never forgets. So in honor of that memory  I went ahead and painted it out and shared it with you. 18"x24"x1 1/2" gallery wrap  acrylic on canvas
