Autumn Trail

Been working on this painting tonight and I really am enjoying getting back into the swing of things. I was out for awhile, recovering from a little surgery. I will complete it and post again soon, I promise!

Letting Go Collaborative

Today my friend Lynn and I worked on a collaborative painting. It was sooo fun, we each used our bare hands to "let go" of those things that we were holding on to. We "released" our tightly held issues into the painting.
It was sticky and slippery but way cool. Lynn was the recipient of this painting and I hope that when it dries she will have a place to look at it and remember that we are not the ones in control.

Turquoise and Bronze

Been working on this very large abstract for two days now. I just love it. It's all textured and reflective in the light with a wealth of colors in the background. It is the largest painting I have done at 36"x48". I hope your monitor does it justice! Of course if you want to you may see it in person, for viewing call 256.233.3690

Poppy Explosion

This weekend is cold and barren. We're deep in the heart of winter and I was missing spring, so, I decided to paint flowers. This is the first painting and I will do and impasto of yellow and orange daisies tomorrow. Hope this brings you some hope for spring in the bitter cold.

Lila, Chastity

Today in honor of Jackson Pollock's birthday, some friends and I got together and painted. Lila is the painting that I chose to do. She is very modest and almost didn't come forth, what with all those people around today. My friend Michele took pictures and perhaps she will post them on her blog, http://www.micheleleeart.com/. Happy Birthday Jackson.

Molto Bella

This is my Bella. She was an inspiration on sat and through much joy and exasperation came into being through some frenzied sketch work, on sunday. She was painted on monday and is now here for all to see. She is a study of the female form.
