Molly

This is Molly everyone. She's the late companion to one of my sisters. She was well loved and had a few quirks you might say. That bent ear for starters! She's a German Sheppard and didn't live to her full life expectancy. Very difficult loss for my family to process. I did this painting as a tribute to Molly and i certainly hope it's well received. 18"x24"x1 1/2" acrylic on canvas.

New Technique for Me

This piece is finally completed! Framed beautifully too I might add. 16"x20" on wood, oil and cold wax medium. Jim did the frame. What a pro!
While I was on an art trip this past summer to Asheville N.C., I was exposed to a new and exciting form of abstract medium for me. Cold Wax. It's a medium used in oil painting for many purposes. I think its main intent was one of a finishing product. However: It makes a beautiful product when mixed with oil paints. This piece also has oil stick in it as well. Very much a "Mixed Media" in the "oil"painting branch of art expression.

Australian Spring

It's Spring in Australia and this painting reflects that. A nice bush flower I think. The reason behind the painting is a painting swap! That's right, I get a painting and I send a painting from a group I belong to called Sketching for fun. I an so excited about this project and it really inspired me to create this little painting. Now for me, this is quite small, but thats what the swapping perimeters were, 8"x10" only. It's all wrapped up and ready to post. I will show you all the painting I receive when I get it. The swap is over on halloween. The person I get a painting from lives overseas in Australia so the mails will take awhile. Keep ya posted!!!!..........
